Man it's pretty disheartening that a hot hatch priced to target young execs barely out of uni costs 12 mil in SL! The current duty structure and exchange rate which I believe is going to be with us for a while will ensure that cars like these remain exotics for a long time. Its a good thing importers like BRJW are gutsy enough to take the risk and bring them down - gives more people a chance to own them later down the line at least.

Usually this sort of announcement is met with a lot of kudos for brjw. This Citroen somehow barked up the wrong tree.

I don't think daryn is cheating out here. He has his overheads as well, it's not a charity after all. But the duty structure really is that insane. I'm getting taxed 80% for performance suspension and brakes. Nawila passen passata thamai customs office ekata yanna oney... Ethakota leysiy!!

Doesn't work. These are sent as gifts. Customs goes online and checks the right price. And then bills you. They're a smart bunch. Happened with the first Aston that was shipped in. Bloke undervalued it, customs contacted Aston Martin uk and got a valuation for the car

I bought my BOV & they checked & asked what it is. i told its a new horn for a maruti which gives like a wizzle blower sound.. ^_^ so they charged me only 750/= tax...

comparing that to a situ where a high performance car is involved is like chalk an cheese mate.

the car customs fellows are much more informed these days.... Gone are the days you can BS your way out unless of course you're "connected" to royalty!

may be because it's special, gives a uniqueness , head turning when your on road since it's new to everybody in SL , funky french design details , curves , So and so...

Somebody may find that it's worth 12 million.

You want a funky Citroen, bring down a D21 or a CX, or better yet a SM. But DS3... no.

anyways i believe its more than worth it coz after all there are only 2000units produced,

If you dont mind me asking, is there a reason you're trying to push this car so much?

If its so worth it and so few are around, why dont you buy it?
