Hybrid Vehicle

I intend to buy a registered hybrid car (toyota or honda) 3 years used.(in here)

1. How can i examine the such vehicle & whats are the things to consider.

2. How about the gear box checked.

3. Is that true that the hybrids are vulnerable to catch fire while on driving.

4. Which brand is good prius or insight.
