My carina at192 has a leak in the steering rack. Replacement part from toyota will be around 150000.00

is it a good option to repaire the rack, if so, anyone who does a professional job.

Or

a place to buy a good quality recondition part (preferebly near kandy)

i changed my steering rack on a fb14 last year, found a power steering rack from a spare parts join in akurana.

cost me 13000/=

150k is way too much.

don't know about repairing though.

search recondition part shops, total rack may vary from 15k-25k.

Labour charge would be anyway less than 5-4k.

Or else i repaired the rack from deep downsouth rack specialist for 8k. With labour and oil and overhaul.

Steering is smooth as butter.

Thalawathugoda rack man ask 25 k just to repair the rack. You've to remove it in one place and bring it there. (little swollen headed in my openion).

You CAN actually state the name of the place you got the repair from, it helps someone looking for a good mechanic....

call charlton 0814470356 of silva motors on 0812240450 you will be able find a reconditioned one. i have no idea on reparing the rack also 150k is too much i feel.

to be precise. It's DKW Motors about 5 km before Dikwella town(area is called hunnadeniya if i'm remember correct) .

quite a young guy, about 25y old,

will remove the total rack , and dismantle upto nut bolt and washer level,fix it in a day, and fellow has a leth mechines on his garage itself, does the necessary fabrications when needed.dismantle/repair/fixing/oil will be done.

Don't forget to replace all relevant horses because , with the overhaul you might see some oil leaks due to increased pressure of the system

(i don't believe him on this though).

Usually i'm having a terrible luck factor , so i don't believe the second hand part job.and i also had this 192 variant ,

if you're having any thought of spending 125 k bucks,

125k for rack.? That's way i say toyota lanka is mad ...

Had my AT210 steering rack overhauled at my mech for around 15K (parts and labor) one year running. No issues. Call Sampath Motors in Attidiya 0772225500

Man... !

Seemingly every good mech for a repair job is quite outside kandy. terryble luck though. Anyway found a recon rack for 13k and put it on. Now running smooth. Hoping to repaire the old one.
