Carb Solenoid Question.

Dinukap4

Question

In my Toyota Aasin Carb there are 2 Solenoids one in the Primary and the other in the secondary So the question is when in ignition does the solenoids get +12V from the start to till the engine is shut down? Or does a ECu control it to vary ? atm I'm rebuilding my Carb and have successfully done a good job just need to know this so that i can power up the solenoids as well.

Cheers

The solenoid with white wire is the idle fuel supply solenoid. This will be in operation as long as you have the ignition on. There is no need for a ECU to get involved. If this wire was kept disconnected before, how was the idle speed set? What worries me is the appearance of the idle control screw. Someone had meddled with it in an unusual manner!!!

Edit: Forgot to comment on the other solenoid which cannot be seen in the pic. This is for rpm limiting on the secondary carb channel and should come from the controller.
