Transferring Permit Vehicle

Dear all,

I've been looking to buy a vehicle imported under permit to a manager at my office.

The bank officer told me that eventhoug the vehicle transfer is allowed cost of transferring is high, due to some fee payable to the DMV.

Advise please

This might be a permit vehicle being transferred before 3 or 5 years or whatever (things change so much I can hardly keep up!). I think you have to pay a fee for a the premature transfer of a permit vehicle
