Nissan March

I was looking for a Nissan March AK 11 2000/2001 during the weekend. 2 of them are maintained very well and sellers are genuine owners. But both vehicles have the same problem of not displaying the "P" and "D" gear possitions on the dash bord.other possitions are very well displayed on the dash Owners said they have not noticed the issues and one person said it is common with most of the Nissan Marchs and can be sorted out

PLs advice me with regard to the above issue as I need to buy one of them if it is a minor issue..

Most probably the micro switches are worn out, or less likely, the indicator bulbs are burnt.

In my sisters Swift the D does not light up in the dashboard but lights up fine on the lever itself. I think the issue is that the gear spends most of the time in the D position hence either the contacts have become corroded (a bit of contact cleaner will sort this out) or the LED has blown. Either way its a very minor problem.

It's very minor issue. I had this issue in suzuki every van after first service and electrician rectified it for around 1K.

Had same issue when I purchsed mine. In my case it was due to burnt dash bulbs. replaced them with LEDs; they look much better and lasts hell of a lot longer.
