Re Do The Steering

Is it possible to re do the steering with a leather cover just like toyota allion or Honda Civic , with stitching ... Do you know any place if so .... Im using a cover but nice to have that kind of steering wheel

I don't think I've seen it done in Sri Lanka. Basically it would involve the current plastic to be stripped out and replaced with a new mould of plastic (you might have noticed that in most steering wheels the softer cover is bonded). Technically you should be able to stick leather on with padding and then stitch it to look good, but don't know if anybody has attempted it or how long lasting such a thing would be (because even in the originals thanks to the sun the bonding come off after a while).

Don, nawala does this for an exorbitant price. 27,000 last time I checked. Real leather and they rip our the padding and redo it fully.

I think deen's does it too. Personally I recommend the latter.

Lal in mount did a very cheap job for me by just stitching a rexin cover. Had to redo it by myself but for 1250/- can't complain

Still didnt , they want the steering for 2 days ..... So having a problem with that ... Waiting for a long weekend .,,, but dont know whether they are working on holidays ... Price is bit high , but im interested on it .... i'll post a pic once its done ....
