Peugeot Service - Issue

Hi Friends,

I recently bought a Peugeott 306 car - wagon type. And did a full service in a service service centre. And the guys there checked for grease points and said there are no grease points in the vehicle. And when I asked them to check the gearbbox oil, they told that they can't do that and it needs to be done by mechanics.

Is there any good service centre which does peugeot services well? Pls assist.

Pelawatta peugeot joint is the best. Just before Isurupaya (education ministry) you should find this. You cant miss this place since you see peugeots parked both side of the road closer to the joint.

I'm not rcommend this place. coz few months back i went to this place to inspect my cousins 406. But I noticed is they didn;t do it professioanlly even simpe things. And the issues were still there after doing their treatments. And you have to spend all the day for even small repair. So i don't recomend this joint as my experience. Heard there is another place better than this around Thalangama area but I have no experience with them. You better try this Talangama place and ignore that Palawatte place. (just my sujession)

I have asked about the service centre not repair centre. To wash the car, grease,under body oiling, engine oil changing, gearbox / differential oil changing, interior cleaning,.......

Agree with you first also I went but he is full of BS.

Later my friend recommended Aruna in Thalangama, no complains.he is reasonable also.

Tilvin, car wash, grease (if there are grease points and to be perfectly honest in modern cars there aren't that many if any) interior clean any service station will do reasonably well.

My advice is to change fluids (engine oil, gearbox oil and once in a while brake, power steering oil and coolant) go to a reliable mechanic and take the filters with you. This will save you money but also ensure they do a proper job. For one the oil would be cheaper as stations put a mark up on this and the filters would be original (sometimes they use whatever they have).
