Ee-111 Sprinter Door Lock Battery Issue

chamwic

Question

In my Toyota Sprinter, remote battery is weak and now it’s not working properly. The problem is remote is sealed type and there is no way to replace the battery.

What can I do for this?

Experts please help.

i'd pry it open somehow and replace the battery :) that seems to be the only option isn't it?

Or take it to one of those door lock joints to see whether the innards of the sealed unit can be opened up and transplanted to another housing where it can be opened up easily

Check online if you can cut it with a blade and seal it with a new battery like what you have to do with the BMW diamond shape remote keys instead of getting a new key, those batteries are also not meant to be open and replaced.
