The biggest motor racing event is just 2 days away...excited as always:D :D....,so any one going to see rhe night races this weekend ??? Had many hopes to see RBR F1 car in action unfortuanately i have to stay back at home and watch the races:(

Dilantha M is supposed to be racing an Evo 7 or 9. Might be this one

In my view organizers have lied to spectators. Bcoz they ran only seven events as I remember. Atleast they should arrange another SL-GT event. Last two times they marketed Lamborgini and this time F1 RB7.

in my opinion the CNR was a total flop, only a waste of money as the organizers were not even taxed to earn revenue (the main purpose of an event of this nature)

Clearly that's not an opinion shared by the majority of people who were there... This was by far the best night race we've had so far and next year should be better still. This time they started on time, events ran on time and finished well within the window that was aimed for. The crowds present looked to enjoy the whole thing as well even though the rain poured down at times.

As someone who had the privilege of being trackside I've got to say, this one was awesome! More events would have been nice yes but then everybody would be bitching about how it dragged on for so long and the roads were blocked and yada yada... So this was probably the best that could have been achieved given the circumstances.

I'm actually with Supra on this. At least it looked like the lessons learned from the previous years had been applied. Safety was much more a priority (And that was a pain for us media types, but what to do?) Given the weather, I'd say it was pretty well done. The major let off from last year was the lack of screens at the track like last year, but there was the rain factor, so maybe that was left out on purpose.

Of course, improvements can be made. I'd like if they concentrated on improving the media experience for the next one. And improve communication among the participating parties. Officials - Security - Crew. One of the things that annoyed me was this police big wig at the start line lecturing how people should get out of the way and let people do their job while parking his fat ass over there, along with the policeman who had to hold his umbrella, taking up a lot of space that could have been used by people trying to do their job, like me!

Also, those senior police buggers treat the small buggers like shit. So naturally they are pissed off and take it out on the public. They need more guys like the chap who was handling our section of the crowd at the last Drags at Green Path, dude was diplomatic, let the media do their thing, and kept the spectators mostly out of the way.

Motor sports is still in its infancy in this country. IMO, it should not be taxed until its in a more firm footing, or you might kill the game altogether

Safety was poor... Two girls holding the grid numbers were hit by a few of those massive sand bags when Janake and the other crashed in the SLGT event... seriously injured I guess given that a bag is more than 50kg ... saw the whole thing happen from Galadari
