Dear Friends,

It has been past around 5 months I have bought my Peugeot 307 - YOM 2002 car. I have done most of the services other than A/C. From the previous owners service schedule also, he had not done any AC related recent service. Anyway the car cools is good. I set the temperature as 22.5 and use in "auto" mode always. But now I feel that in noon time(very hot out side), it takes some time to cool. Do I need to do any service? Where I can do? Peugeot experts pls comments. Because I do not want to mess up the car with A/C technicians who do not know how to do things with Peugeot.

Thanks,

Tilvin

Take your car to an A/C place you can trust and pump some gas (refrigerant) in to it. No matter what the A/C guy says, insist on just topping up the refrigerant. Run it for a couple of days thereafter and if the cooling problem comes back, then its time to check for leaks and do a complete service at someone who knows peugeots (not some random A/C kadey).

Hi Tilvin, Since these days are hotter than usual why dont you put to 16 and see if it gets cooler quicker. Still if you feel its not sufficient go to Aruna @ Throve Automobile. He will sort you out.

from what I figured out in Peugeots, if you set the temp beyond 21 the heater flaps also slightly open up. Try out 18 and see whether there's any difference. Also override the auto mode by following for best results

1. close outside air intake by pressing the out side air circ button once. A wind indicator arrow will appear on the climate control display.

2. press the air flow direction button till it directs to face only position

if the cooling isn't enough in this settings, there's some problem in the refrigerant level or the cool box flaps (another inherited problem of 307)

as Pug306xsi said, Aruna @ Throve would be able to sort this out.
