Honda Fit Aria 2005 , 1300Cc

Hi Guy,

Has anyone used Honda Fit Aria 2005 , 1300cc version? I have got a chance to buy this car for 2.2 million (don't know whether it's reasonable), Car is from japan and registered in 2009. If anyone has the experience of using this version please advise me on engine performance and fuel efficiency.

Personally i won't buy Honda in this era with CVT trans, one of my Uncle replaced 3 gear boxes in 2 years time (2nd one due to his fault) and i have seen few Honda's in that era for sale with faulty reverse gear.

Check with others also and see what is their idea

P.S. I Like Honda with 3 paddles

as cooper mentioned, heard city has the same issue.

I think the CVT boxes have got ruined because the incorrect ATF fluid was used. Ask for maintenance records. The fluid needs to be changed every 20000km I think with Honda CVT ATF fluid and nothing else.

From my experience, Honda CVT wont give any specific problems as long as you treat them well. Treating them well basically means changing CVT fluid at regular intervals and using the correct fluid. In my vehicle i change this every 15k km (although most baases here would go "ayyo why change that frequently, do it every 40k") and only put Honda HMMF oil. Make sure you put exactly the oil mentioned in service manual (should be either Honda CVTF or HMMF).
