thanks for the all who help in this forum ,i have succesfully done the srilankan update for honda crv 2018 aussi model 

steps 

1. update the prevailin aussi maps as describe by the https://honda.garmin.com/honda/site/generalInstructions  follow the instruction and see the video as well https://static.garmincdn.com/autoOem/honda/docs/en.pdf

after that install garmin express software in to your pc as in this pdf instruction https://static.garmincdn.com/autoOem/honda/docs/en.pdf

then after aussi update complited come to your pc and go to this site and downlord the srilankan map as a img file http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/    (it save as (gmapsupp.img) it is about 58 mg } select

 Mapnik
Country as Srilanka in the filling 

then replace the same file in the usb which is a 42 mb file 

now again go to the vehicle and do the update process after starting the vehicle 

now you are done

when map update is downloaded to usb pen drive from garmin express, it has two .img files (gmapsup1 & gmapsupp).

So replacing gmapsupp.img with sri lanka map will do the trick or do I need delete the other .img file ?

replaced only the gmapsupp.img file with downloaded SL map. everything work fine. thanks @WIKUM100

Anyone has the latest downloaded map from http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/

Now there is no download option. I couldnt find a way to download the map. How about Mapmania.info website to download the map

I don't think that you need a map on smart phones. I travel out of Colombo then I use the map on the phone that gives all I need.

to use maps on the smart phone, you must have a data card for internet connection -

how much data I will need in 30 days travel? which provider do you recommend when I want to travel around Sri Lanka? I will get a prepaid SIM card at the airport?

I have an audi a5 b9 2019 with a virtual cockpit (VC). 

Is it possible to get Sri Lankan maps on the VC?
