Snfonseka
This is kind of weird problem. When I switch off the engine and starts the engine again after 8 - 10 hours, my digital clock gives incorrect time (time difference with the actual time is around 5 hours). But if I turn the engine off for 2 - 5 hours this problem doesn't occur. I appreciate any advise on this matter.

The digital clock time is supposed to be kept by the battery while the car is switched off. So the issue is a but puzzling. The fault seems to be in the mechanism your clock uses to preserve time. In the old days, there will be a feed to the clock sometimes even if the car is switched off, but the display is sometimes turned off. Some clocks have a mechanism to keep a bit of charge to keep it going like a slow flow capacitor. What time does it show after 8 hours? 00:00? Sampath Gunasekera
Did you disconnect the battery recently for any purpose? Did you follow the time setting procedure same as in Owners Manual? Snfonseka
After 8-9 hours it gives "current time - 5 hours", generally. I didn't do anything to the battery, however about two weeks ago I put the car for the service. However the problem didn't occur immediatly after the service, almost after a week after. I follow the instructions in manual and set the time again and again after each reset.
asrock
Its probably a problem of the clock it self, the crystal oscillator or like don said, the power circuitry to the clock. Edited June 2, 2015 by asrock

Is the clock integrated to the speedo or its on the center console? If its on the console replacement is easy. If the clock is being reset due to power failure it would normally show 00:00, so whats happening is a more intermittent fault. I don't think its an expensive item to replace. Somebody might be able to fix it depending on the issue. Try a car stereo place.
PreseaLover
I had the same issue... I replaced my battery recently and the next time i checked, the clock hour is one hour ahead... and in My pioneer setup I don't know how to adjust the time back to the correct time... I tried all the buttons but couldnt find how to reset the time... and on the same day i discovered the time is 1 hour ahead, after another hour I started the car again and then the time is 2 hours ahead now.... still its the same.... udararaj
@Presealover in your radio there is a button called CLK. Press and wait few seconds you will see the clock start to blink. ( First hours ) Then use the Tune buttons of the radio to adjust the hours. Same you can do for change minutes and seconds

Snfonseka
My problem was automatically solved itself for couple of weeks. However it occurred again recently and this time I can clearly hear some kind of "moving belt" sound within the clock area when I started the car. I probably need to show this to a technician. However just want to update the situation.

shashicruse
Check you battery or the wire connected to the clock use loosed or damaged.
udararaj
Check with Unimo they will tell what the exact problem is. It may be a small thing to go for a company support. But it might be a solid sollution
