Steering Noise

Dear All,I owned a Toyota passo 2007 car and it gives steering noise(sound likes when we open a corroded door,) after drive 12-15 Km in any road condition, when turning steering wheel both ways. but this is vanish when we stop the car and leave it for a night. could you please help me to come-out this matter. This could be worn bushes or lack of lubrication. Lubricate the points that need to be lubricated and check things like tie rod ends, rack ends etc. The bushes might have got to a point, they have hardened due to use and old age.

I have a similar problem in my Alto. A screeching noise when cutting full and tightness in the wheel.

Like MV-5 has said, tighten the power steering belt

May be Shock absorb mounts are broken. You can inspect it easily.

Well clearly the noises can only happen from moving parts. Either there is play, wear or some of the replacement parts are good quality.

For example I replaced my rear suspension bushes with some thai ones I found from Panchikawatte. One of the rear ones squeek when it moves around. There is nothing that can be done about it apart from replacing them with proper bushes which comes with the suspension arm.

Don, Can't it be from EPS motor(when motor hotter or something)
