Dear All:

Thanks for all who has replied me before topics.

Do LED fog lights work same way as normal fog lights ?

Thanks,

In theory yes but with some reservation as listed below.

In practicality I'm yet to hear of any after market LED fog lights that actually work as well as their OEM halogen counter parts. The important criteria when it comes to having an effective fog-light is dispersion pattern, light output and now as per my understanding thanks to AL member 'Ruslan': colour. If you find any good LED fog lights that fit the criteria as generally accepted in the automotive industry please do update us here. It'd be interesting to hear about any new products out there.

If you just want a cosmetic effect and you don't care about how effective the fog lights are then I guess its more a straight forward: Yes.

It is immaterial the light source but the color temperature.

If the LED fogs able to deliver such appropriate color temperature, that will be ok.

But I dont think so the following fog will deliver such.

If you really need to convert, I recommend you to use LED lamp instead of Halogen lamp in the old fog lamp housing.

By doing this, you could reduce power consumed from battery comparing conventional type bulbs.

In addition to this, refrain from using white light as fog.

In my personal experience, Yellow lights are:

1. more penetrable

2. even in rainy weather

3. very low strain to eyes

Thanks for you all for your valuable information. I would go for LED option if it's configurations are acceptable or exceed functions of the normal fog lights. Surly i will update all the detail.

Thanks again
