Is it ok to change the engine oil brand plus the viscosity?? With current mobil 15w -40 engine revs high whrn its cold to get its performance. So to avoid at least a bit will switch in to 10w-30 toyota oil. Also i feel 30 viscosity could give more performance cause the total mileage is 60,000km.

Stick to the one recommended by the manufacture

Cold start revs remain high until the engine temperature reaches a preset value but has nothing to do with viscosity of oil. If the engine parts are not worn out (ie 60000 km genuine and engine well maintained) you can use 10w-30. It can make a very marginal difference if any at all because of low viscosity. Again whether you use Toyota or Mobil doesn't make a significant difference. What matters most is that you change oil on time.

Mobil oil is usually better than generic toyota oil.atleast they are cost effective if both are same quality.I have used both on my diesel car,Mobil Delvac vs toyota.I can confidently say that Mobil is better than toyota oils in terms of noise, vibration and longevity of lubrication qualities.Toyota oil is just marketing gimmick. They outsource oils from some other manufacturers and badge them with higher price tag.

true, when you buy oil check about oil Grade. not about the brand name. Toyota mostly coming CF grade, but try to use oil grade CI-4 or CJ-4 Try Delo Sport it is 10W-30 CI-4 Synthetic 6 liter can price around 5500/-
