X Trail Hybrid 2015 - Navigation System

Want to buy a x trail hybrid. But the dvd player/ nav system ..... all are in Japanese language . Can these things be changed to English language later on. Can we load the Sri Lanka map. Is the SD card specific to one vehicle only.

I don't think you will be able to change the language. But playing DVD's etc wont be a issue after you get the hang of it. If you want navi you are better off with a after market branded setup, or if you don't mind a portable navi system go for a Garmin/ Prosat or Satnav.

as far as i know both the language change OR to load a SL map is not possible....one thing you can DO to use the other functions is to download google translate on your mobile and use the image feature to scan the text on the display then memorize what icon represents which function.

Are you buying this vehicle purely for the Navigation system?

Will it not be cheaper to just buy a map ?

it appears the navigation is a huge priority.... if you want turn by turn directions just use google maps on your phone... I've found google maps to be quite accurate it's not like this is 2011 innit?
