Is It A Good Time To Upgrade Vehicle?

Dear Friends

I'm planing to upgrade my car. currently i own EK3 98 Exi and hoping to go for Es8 2003,2004.How ever with this new tax amendments, it seems car prices has increased.

I checked some some sites and Ek3 recon market price is 1.8m - 2 m. is this correct? and Es8 2.5-2.8m

so with this price change , is it worth to upgrade?

wouldnt be worth to buy a car from someone whos claiming that his 13 year old car's value has skyrocketed coz the price of a brand new xtrail went up.

And lets say that the secondhand market prices have increased . so you would be selling a secondhand car and buying a secondhand car . in which case you would also benefit from the increase when selling your car . so there wouldnt be much of a gain or a loss .

secondhand market is a mess these days.

1. The prices have gone up (should settle down soon IMHO)

2. There are so many car brokers out there than ever before.

#2 was the biggest problem I faced when I was trying to buy a car last week. It was very difficult to find a genuine seller, with a well looked after car. In my hunt I did not find a single person who has kept service records.

never upgrade your car. Always use the one you have as long as you can and sell it off when you feel you need a more reliable one or one with more space, safety options etc

It seems me it's a silly question. As no one can exactly tell the time need to settle car prices. If you obviously need a car right now, go for it. You need to consider whether it is worth or not according your needs.
