Suzuki swift Timing Chain rated life?

Hi guys,

I just want to know that the rated life of the timing chain of M13A engine (swift HT51s). I heard some car manufacturers rate the life of timing chain with the lifetime of the car?

just to make sure what it is going to be? thanks.

You can't set a mileage limit on timing chains as long as you have enough engine oil in the sump. In any case you will get  early warning signs like chain noise (but that too is mostly due to wear in the tensioner) before they fail if it happens at all. Timing chain can be replaced if a necessity arises when an engine is rebuilt.
