EK3 RPM Fluctuation

I recently bought an EK3 Ferio MI which has a cvt multimatic gear box. When i stop the car after a 5 mnts ride and shift from D to N or P the RPM indicator fluctuate 

between 1000 and 1500. This happens when both AC is on and off. What can be the problem?

Does the engine rev above 1500 RPM on cold start and slowly drop to around 850 as the engine warms up? Better to observe this with AC off. Any tune ups done after buying the car?
