Both these cars have been extensively discussed on the forums (might not be the exact same year but def the same model). Please do a search.

Bottom line, I have a feeling you will buy the Prius.

They are both more or less equal in terms of comfort. Parts accessibility wise the Prius may have a slight ege as plenty of used parts come in from Japan. The Corolla 141 was an export model so apart from mechanical parts (which are shared by other models) body parts, etc..might need a bit of extra hunting.

Fuel economy wise the Prius would be better being a Hybrid. Resale value wise, even though there is not anything wrong with the Corolla 141 people put it down because not all of them were "Made in Japan" <which really doesn't oil down to much these days> and the Corolla 141 has a reputation for being a gas guzzler <the facelift model is actually not bad after the engine update was done>. Please keep in mind people are quite skeptical about buying used Hybrid cars so the Prius's resale value might not be that great as well.

At the end of the day..all of the above depends on the condition of the car you buy and the condition of the car when you sell it.
