Land Cruiser Vs Land Cruiser Sahara

Hi all,

Can anyone explain the difference between above. There is this vehicle 2016 land cruiser V8 valued at Rs.35Mn.  The bugger says its a Sahara. How do you distinguish if really there is a version called Sahara.

I have seen some yo*t*be video done in SL about face lifting the base model, you can add most of the other system but it is pretty hard to replace the below 2, so please check if the below 2 systems available.

Well..another easy way to figure it out is...where was the car imported from ? If it s a JDM variant (like most are) it can't be a SAHARA as the JDM market never got a "Sahara".

The only way to figure it out would be to; 1. like JC mentioned do a comparison of the specs (but then this can get hokey because Toyota is known to mix up specs and offer special editions every now and then). 2. get the model code and check it up against a parts database to see if the base is a SAHARA.

The thing is the LC 200 in some markets was called the Land Cruiser Sahara in order to distinguish it from the rest of the Land Cruiser series, in these markets the Prado was called "Land Cruiser" and the 70 series the LC 70. The Sahara, being the highest spec LC you could buy in these markets progressively became the high spec grade LC200 you can buy in some other markets...so..yeah...

Figure out where the car came from and then check the model code.
