4dr51A engine

Question

Hi Guys,

My J44 jeep has 4dr51A engine. Recently I notice there is some oil dripping from the Breather hose. Engine is in perfect running  condition. just start even without heating. Engine sound also good & don't think it's  need engine repair. This is bit headache for me .. I have notice my engine oil level also bit higher than dip stick mark. So just reduce it but still the result as same as earlier. Please comment

Welcome to AL.

Q :Could the engine have been over-filled at the last  service? the churning of the higher level of oil in the crank case may have caused the extra oil on the breather.

rare and hard to diagnose your prob. if you experience an increase in engine e oil level, without the above,

check the injector pump for diesel leaking into the crank case.

check the oil for thinning/diesel smell.

TT.
