Suzuki swift 2004 ATF Fluid type

Hi Friends,

Time has come to change the ATF on my car. It is a suzuki swift 2004 model (Japan jeep type model).

unfortunately I am unable to make a contact with the last owner to ask the type of ATF fluid he used. 

So I would be grateful if some one would tell me what is the ideal brand and the type of the oil I should purchase.

HI,

First, don't think the last owner ever serviced thetrans. As our locals run till the tranny rests in pieces .

So, stick to a maintenance schedule and get the trans serviced , at your local garage, or at a specialist,..

Your swift is from the days when gearboxes were very simple. 

Dexron 3 type ATF of any brand would do.

Check your ATF dipstick,  it should mention which ATF to use

ATF Suzuki ATF 3317 or Mobil ATF 3309
