Reply thanks for the offer dude! got dead lines today :D so got to stay in office. Plan on doing a run with petrol cans later in the night in a friends van that managed to get a full tank of diesel!..

If you think its the gear box.. just take it over to laughs and ask them to change the fluid first- I think the 323 is non cvt and the calt*x fuild will not cost you much..

Ratmalana has got some fuel as I here.. None the less I think we are going to try are luck tonight in getting some.

15k? on cheaper brands? depends on the gb condition

my manual says every 40,000 km, yah but i get the point, brand matters... suppose if u get da trsmaission oil change @ agents dat means you can wait 40,000km right? else if u don't know which brand was used, how would u know e\wehn to change?

I donno.. City is CVT right? 323 is not. CVT supposed to last less and cost a whole lot more.. yeah the agents & Honda say 40k for everything.. manual GB fluid, PS fluid, shocks and what not- you really got to take these things with a pinch of salt

Same club, but fortunately don't use the car much during the week. So its sitting pretty at home with more than 1/2 tank....

ummm, I'm going OT too... Back to ur sluggish cars....

Hey Fuzzo, any chance that its the contaminated fuel thing cropping up again?

BTW mine is not CVT(2001 model dint come wit CVT)... my experience is that we can use it more than what the Manual specifies... almost all the running repairs that I atteded to were waaaaay overdue in comparision to what the Manual said.

/sorry 4 OT

@fuzzo keep us posted on what you end up doing and the results, it could be helpful/interesting especially in the sense that you seem to have done lot of perceivable things to get the wheels moving fast(of course within the current engine setup)... will see

my car (mazda familia/323) is very very sluggish. Yes it is an auto but it is painfully slow in reaction times. Can someone suggest some stuff i can do to it to make it somewhat quicker

pls don't tell me to install nitrous or turbo it. it's a company car..so those won't happen for sure

My dads optima was kinda sluggish and the engine check light kept flashing. Once it was checked out by the company, turns out the automatic gearbox sensor had failed. Cost about 18000 to get it changed, but now it works fine. The speedometer sensor had gone once before too. Cost about the same to get it replaced. Damn cars and their sensors..

i don't know.. could be something with the gear box.. any symptoms i should look out for?

fuzo just tell me did u do a gear oil change recently.(i mean abt 20000km range) if not do it 1st..then..before going for a injector cleaning..pore in a good branded fuel system cleaner to the tank while pumping petrol..but mate before all that just check your petrol filter n air filter..(i assume u run on stock filters)cos its the main issue on most cases..even on manual cars....once in a while its no harmto use a table spoon or two of ..octain booster to yo tank..when you go for a check up @ the agents u can check on the sensors of the car(eg o2 sensor ext )
