Country of Origin - Suzuki S Cross ( SX4 )

Hello Friends,

I have bought a new Suzuki S-Cross ( Sx4 ) 2019 and registered recently. According to the documents, it's imported from UK and Country of Origin is Japan. However, in the vehicle CR it's mentioned as Hungary.

I have asked this from car sale but they don't have a good answer. 

Do you know the logic behind this? Just want to clarify.

It is made in India for Asia, China for China and Hungary for Europe

Since your car is UK import it must be made in Hungary

Current model (gen 2) was never manufactured or sold in Japan

You should be able to get the country of origin from the full VIN no

A simple google search shows that the car is manufactured in plants in Hungary India etc - the UK version probably gets manufactured in Hungary - this should be fine : no cause for concern.

Doesn't the ID plate on the Car say Suzuki Motor Corporation (or some corp) - <Some country> ?

UK Import S-Cross is assembled at the Suzuki plant in Hungary. You can confirm this if your VIN (Chassis No) is starting with "TSM"
