Steel Bumper & a Winch

Hello there

Can I fix a steel bumper with a winch? is it legal in Sri Lanka? will the cops stop me at each and every town? 

Please help ?

It is illegal...but it was reported yesterday that the off-road community had negotiated with the RMV and Police to get the bans on such mods lifted. So yes..seems like you will be able to fit a steel bumper in the near future, however, there was some requirement for it to be authorized by one of the legally registered off-road societies.

Oh, that's great news. Hopefully the community, societies and ARB or Ironman will sort things out in near future

Iron man and ARB teams have been instrumental in the negotiations...in fact these groups apparently need to register themselves with the RMV to assess and authorize modifications to off-road vehicles.
