I think you mean Japanese to English (if it has actual Chinese then it is a knock off and not the actual Gathers unit...but Japanese uses Chinese characters, Kanji, plus two other types of letters). Anyway...the anser is you can't. These are head units that came for cars sold in Japan and they only have Japanese.

In some versions of the VXM-128 series people seem to be able to change the language. Go to the menu and then there apparently is an option that says Language written in Japanese. Use google translator on your phone to figure out which button this is (I think it is the right-most one). Once you change the language a lot of the features seem to get disabled.

The above apparently does not work in some VXM-123 series setups and you will be just wasting your time.

In addition, also check youtube...there are a few around (albeit in languages like Russian, etc..but you can guide yourself through it).
