Niran gomes
Hi everyone! So i recently purchased a car battery! Paying absurd prices ofcourse.... Anyway, I was wondering if I have been given a battery that has been sitting on the shelf for some time. I tried searching on the internet regarding this and got some very valuable information. but the battery I got, Which is a 'dagenite' (because the one I had failed suddenly and this was the only affordable option to literally get me going) is not too clear on the manufacture date. It says '1G2 OCV- 12.92v' on the label on top. I understand G stands for JULY since it's letter 7 on the alphabet. But the numbers confuse me. Is it 1G- July of 2021 Or G2- July of 2022 Anyone with information on this, please do help me out here..... I certainly hope it's July of 22!😅 I'm sure alot will find this thread interesting when purchasing a new battery. Thank you for your valuable inputs! matroska
I'm not sure if the code is universal and differs as per manufacturer and country. But AFAIK it's this On 9/17/2022 at 5:41 PM, Niran gomes said: Is it 1G- July of 2021
