Engraved Engine Number is it a problem?

Hi All

 

I came  across a really well build Mitsubishi 4DR5

But the only problem is it has been fitted with a new engine and the old number which is in the book has been engraved on the new engine. 

Chassis number is original

 

Is this going to be a problem

Please help as i have like 24H to make the down payment.

Yes !

There are legal ways to do an engine change which includes provisions to update the registration book.

What has been done is fraud. Too much of a risk. Especially if it is this obvious that the engine number has been engraved.
