Hola
Hi People! Have you ever took time to notice and understand what these terms are and how often they are used in Sri Lankan car advertising. "LADY USED" - i think the seller is trying to say that the car was nicely used "COMPANY CEO USED" - Same as above but with bigger elegance "CAR USED AS SECOND VEHICLE" - Hacked but good "OWNER LEAVING COUNTRY , QUICK SALE" - mine is crap but please hurry up and buy!! "USED BY ENTHUSIAST" - Trying to say that the car was used better than other owners as for the knowledge he has in the particuler model/make
sharkster
if it helps to sell your car i don't see any reason why you shouldn't use the terms... especially if you really ARE an enthusiast and have maintained your car well...
dhp
IMO "LADY USED" - Clutch and press. plate is gone watch for curb rash on wheels! did the lady have any teenage sons? then walk away.. "COMPANY CEO USED" - had no clue about the car, his wife and kids proly learned to drive in this "CAR USED AS SECOND VEHICLE" - not reliable enough to be the first vehicle "OWNER LEAVING COUNTRY, QUICK SALE" - this could be a good deal if true...or its about to fall apart "USED BY ENTHUSIAST" - Hacked up by a guy who thinks he knows better than the engineers who designed the car. Will take money and time to get rid of those "performance mods"

How very true.. He He... And also "DOCTOR USED" - Tries to say that the car was diagnoised the way the owner diagnised his patiensts with care, but we all know doctors are clueless on mechanism (mostly-no offence) "BRAND NEW CONDTION" - many recons use this to say that they gave a recent paint and interior job
GTAm
The worst I have seen is Banker used. I mean wtf is that supposed to mean?

Refs to 'just bought the car since the low interest loan was there and didn't run much since in office all day' Most of the bankers rent their cars out to companies anyway. Then theres - One owner - when its not Mint Condition - when its not Original Paint - Need a paint job most of the time Company Owned/Maintained - Run a lot comercially most of the time
Saturn
Used By Lady Used By Engineer Used By Doctor TOPping condition Owner Leaving Immaculate Condition Company Used Quick Sale!! Original Condition (Looks a bit like it used to, BEFORE the crash and rollover) Engine is in excellent Condition (it can start) Anniversary Edition (Has a special imported sticker) BRAND NEW (It was, in 1983) Many Extras (more than one cupholder) Very Efficient (When going downhill, neutral) Excellent interior (We washed all the dog poop off the seats) Excellent exterior (rust has been painted over) Fully Overhauled (I replaced air filter) Recently Overhauled (I replaced air filter last year) Used By Enthusiast (I always drive it at 7,500 rpm with tha beet [sic] silencer) Luxury Seats (new seat covers) Carefully Restored (After being rear ended by a semi, we used lots of filler and strips of metal to glue it together) Used Carefully (Driven by senior citizen with Alzhimers, so clutch was never released fully, always kept at 50%) Agent Maintained (Once, in 1987, it was taken to the agent for a quote) Latest Security System (Guard dog in boot, remember to feed it) Only 15,000 KM (After 4th odometer rollback) NOTE: Photos here are via Flickr (www.flickr.com) I've unfortunately lost the original links so if you see your photo here pls give me the link and i will link it correctly/credit you/remove photo per your requests - thanks! Hola
GTAm said: The worst I have seen is Banker used. I mean wtf is that supposed to mean? Thats so stupid. It doesnt make sense at all. Maybe the advertiser trying to say that the car was bought over by a bank loan? Still it wouldnt make sense.. You are right Saturn said: Or da owner drives like a gurl (no offense to da gurls here) He he, how true. Hey those pics were funny machang! Good work! harshansenadhir
Hola said: You should be trying killing him man, in contrary Hola.. as a fact I know these cars are badly used/using in African continent and some Arabic countries.. but i would suggest the picture with term OWNER LEAVING has a better meaning if it used to say FULLY LOADED!! and one obvious fact I see in the news papers are that those vehicles claimed to be in exceptional condition and superb condition are not as they mention in the ad..
