$1.6 Million Bugatti Veyron Smashed

The unnamed driver is said to have lost control of the 1,000 hp, 253mph supercar when it hit a patch of standing water on the B375 near Shepperton, United Kingdom. The four-wheel drive Veyron then aquaplaned and crashed nose first into a ditch by the side of the road. It is not known whether any other vehicles were involved although Surrey Police have no record of the accident, suggesting the driver arranged himself for the car to be recovered. Doubtless the embarrassed owner is lying low and contemplating the sort of repair bill only a wrecked $1.6 million supercar can create.

hey but get this if that small time car maker BRISTOL in é UK is set to produce a 1000+ BHP Veyron rival using a Twin Turbo charged Chrysler 8.0L V10 !!

& here's best part yet - they claim it'll be able to do 270+ MPH !!!!!!!!!

if they pull it off its gonna be a real cracker!!

hmm... Bristol is probably THE most eccentric carmaker on earth..... they turn out tiny numbers of exquisitely hand crafted, Extremeley expensive GT's for a VERY select clientele......

the curent range is the Blenheim 3, and the Fighter (in the pic), which use an old chrysler V8 and a NA V10 from the viper respectively. No magazine/Tv show/ Media has tested any bristol vehicle properly to date, as the company "doesn't feel the need".... so it's gonna be very difficult to ascertain their performance claims......

However, bristol cars are Exceptional for their Aerodynamic qualities (the company used to be a planemaker) so you never know

I like the Bristol. I'll take it over the Bug any time. I prefer the image of the Fighter. And it looks like nothing else on the market. The Bug is just a sledge hammer tons of stuff crammed into it to make it go faster. That does not make it a great car.

Bristols have always been eccentric yet high tech in a physics pro kind of way. The engine is ancient tech but will probably never break down. But all their cars were light weight aliminium constucted. Just like aircraft which they used to build. Nice.
