Whoah man!! thats one heck of a big pic!!!

to answer your question, this is a First generation (production ended in 1992/3) Saab 900 Convertible... and the sticker under the Saab Badge means it has probably been upgraded by Abbott Racing, the Uk's premier Saab Modifying Specialist... the Alloys too are not the standard ones, so this may confirm the fact

Abbott modded saab's are rare even inn england, wonder how one got to Thailand....

Stingray those 900 series cars had so much character. Those were the days FWD was not a bad thing too. The Turbo is the pick of the range.

I've seen many of them in Thailand.

Btw I'm surprised you noticed so many machines in Pattaya considering its' usual distractions ;) !!

GTAm- The machines i came across in pattaya were during the lookout for other distractions!!! :D

Also the bangkok tuk tuk's are damn powerful as well, was speaking to the driver and he mentioned the engines are 250cc, awesome sound it had and great pickup.

However i never let all these distract me from the "work" i had to do there!! :P

has anyone heard of/seen this?!

it was apparently nicknamed the Saabaru

10_saab_9_2_x_1147046.jpg

back in 2004 Saab is said to have reskinned a Subaru Impreza & labelled it the 9-2X - all on account of GM who owned stakes in both Saab and Fuji Heavy Industries , the makers of Subaru.
