I know few guys have been refused to issue the RL as they didnt have the VET certificate. I also know some guys 'paid' Rs600 at RL office and got the RL without VET.

i had to renew my RL just after the law came into play and i was refused.

so i had to do the vet to get the RL

Just been to Drive Green at Marine Drive and got the VET Certificate. I passed

That place is damn good. I spent only less than five mins there.

Hi,

Bumping up an old thread to put on record some info. As per her commissioner of the RMV vehicles imported prior 1975 do not need to go through the emissions test.
