i assumed by the avatart it was a jetranger!! so what do you have now then?? Just out of curiousity what sort of milage do these things do? and do these also run on jet A1??

Yeah thats the Jetranger (the one and only private-Helicopter in SL).She has a range-extender fitted and carries morethan 90 US Gallons of Jet-A1 (mostly called Avtur).Endurance is 3+ Hrs on full fuel.A lovely babe to ride!!

the lionair chopper was sold a while ago... and i'm assuming mini ace is referring to privately owned non-commercially used helicopters...

Yes Lionair had two and both sold overseas.Deccan Lanka Heli is SLs only private heli partly owned by two proud Sri Lankans.

Mate is RC flying stuff allowed in SL?

you said their is an RC club here so i suppose there are ways to get these things then

Always wanted get a RC plane but the security restrictions on them made me think twice about the investment

All registered RCs with the Airforce are allowed to fly under supervision on selected Sundays.

Its illegal to import RCs now.

that's only for the empty hull mate...u need the motor, servos and the transmitter units to be bought separately...

but ebay does have some great deal on RC toys... especially since lotsa chinese stuff are getting into the market the prices have come down drastically...

but like Mini says... us sri lankans can't get any of these to SL

I heard that the ban is only for vehicles that can operate beyond 10 meters. Is this inaccurate? Was under the impression that stuff like the xmods was ok, 1:28 scale.
