Citreon C5

BOYZ

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

I came across a Citreon C5, 2003 Brand new, with leather interior and electric seats. Low milleage and very well used vehicle.

Can anyone tell me how much is it worth and whether its advisable to buy a Citreon in SL since the second hand market is very low on those cars.

I just got a chance to drive that vehicle and really enjoyed the speed and the comfort. At the moment, I have a Peugeot 406.

Waiting for your advise on this. Thanks in advance

the newer French cars don't have much of a reputation for durability in tropical conditions such as ours...

But the C5 should be very comfortable with its Hydropneumatic suspension - however this in turn could be an issue if it were ever to go wrong...

Browns had the agency but currently i don't think they have an active agent here - Frontier might have some links though...

Given that most would shy away from being straddled with a european car of this nature you ought to be able to get yourself a good price should you decide to risk it and take the plunge

Pricing is hard given that very few cars were sold in the first place and its hardly ever that you see one hit the market... Rs.1.5~2.0 Million would be my guess , but again this is just pure speculation...

Yeah! The durability and the repairs are the worst. Same as opel..doesn't suit heat! Anyway what is the engine spec? Is it a 1.6 or 2.0?

honestly speaking I have checked on this subject a lot, yes they do depreciate a lot due to the suspension system and because of reliability issues faced by owners.

But I was assured by the workshop director that it is now all sorted. our company is currently using a C5 and it was given to a customer for a few days as his vehicle broke down and it has been running pretty well. So you cannot say its bad.

So you cannot say its bad.

never did as such machan

i'd prefer the ride and feel of a european car to another for sure - but its hard to deny that over all reliability relative to Jap cars is a little iffy...

The fact still remains that demand for ordinary Euro cars is poor

this is faaar from scientific , but interesting none the less..

watch the section from 5.10 to 7.40 in the video - illustrates how good the ride is...
