Hey Ripper... that's gonna be a cool road trip....!

machang if i could find the time and some extra moolah burn i won't think twice about the security and long driving etc etc :) but that's just me :)

last time on our biking trip thingy we did a long a$$ ride for over 5 hours non stop to weddagala from nuwaraeliya... in wet weather and horrible roads so i sorta love the whole roughing out experience :) getting lost experience etc etc

Thinking of going for a 4x4 like a Hilux or something on my next change cos the darn corolla doesn't like bad roads

come to think of it the corolla only like straight roads

What is it with you? you always look at it with a bad eye when someone says Land Rover. For your information the Rajiv person is a Army Captain, we have gone trips with him and also the LROC crowd and had no issues so why do you want to be scared??

Anyway Arugambay side has been now cleared for sure so what worries the LTTE is now more or less in the vanni area except for maybe a few carrying out attacks in random places. In your case though it seems that your scared to be in Colombo with the situ that we are now facing...

I wouldnt think twice to join this trip..It sounds fantastic. But the prob is I cant afford to stay away from my family for 3 days in my 14 day short holiday in SL this july. My personal view is "I will die when I get the call regardless of where or when." enjoy the life. but thats my personal view.

I personally think yala is the best park for off roading. you get a variety of terrains in yala...sand mud rivers sea etc..

I think this is a awesome tour.

ripper this only landy owners or can any one else join. ( Other Brands )

seriously once LTTE is beaten we will have loads of mud trails to explore in the north ( Off Course once all the Landmines are Cleared )

:D

Pradfred seriously life is merely short and it a useless race we are all running. Nature is a awesome gift - specially in Sri Lanka.

I am sure you guys must be watching ODYSSEY - around the world in 3 Landrover Discoveries. When i watch that I really feel sad for the amount of time in my life i waste in front of computer punching numbers and words.

:) drove the 4x4 hilux Single Cab. Its tough and the 2.5 Turbo Diesel is damn good. Heard it does well on fuel too.
