Is Toyota yaris made in japan? i searched several japanese sites but there is no vehicle called Toyota Yaris in Japan.if somebody know the name that use in japan for Toyota yaris please let me know.

acutualy it is doubtful. When I asked TOYOTA LLANKA at the time of introducing YARIS they said that it is assembled in INDONISIA. Very recently they have told to one of my friends that it is made in Japan.

Please comment if some body knows the truth.

Toyota Yaris sedan is manufactured in Japan by Kanto Auto Works Ltd which belongs to Toyota group. They produce Yaris, corolla, crown and century sedans according to their web site. You will see Kanto Auto Works sticker If you check under side of the bonnet of Yaris sedan imported by Toyota lanka. As a permit holder I got a confirmation letter of country of origin as Japan which is required for custom clearance. Toyota yaris sedan is the export version of Toyota Belta(Japanese Domestic Model).

The VIN of a Jap made Toyota starts with JT. Indonesian made vehicles such as the Avanza have a different first two letters.
