Suzuki Escudo Engine Rpm

It's a Suzuki Escudo 2000 model, 2 ltr petrol engine. When i push on the accelarate, engine RPM drops down slightly and then increases. This is annoying as i feel a delay in response when overtaking, etc. Will an engine tuneup solve my problem/

Is yours an Automatic or Manual transmission?

assuming its an Auto , your Automatic Transmission Fluid could be due in for a change..

Thank you for the reply. Yes it is an Auto, but it happens even in Parking position at idling speed. So i doubt this is the problem. any other suggestion?

Throttle Position Sensor issue perhaps?

Also what about air/vacuum leaks?
