How funny this snap, this is in japan my brof taken the snap, as in my knowlage exporting the classic cars from SL is illegal :action-smiley-060: have to ask from the SL custom people :angry-smiley-048: how it happen??????

Machan this is a Ford Prefect 100E model which came in the middle of 1950's,it had 3 FWD gears

But I was under the impression that these cars cannot be taken out of SL since they were classed as classics

hmmm far left of field theory could be that some affluent Sri Lankan now residing there or a dual citizen wanted to get down his car which has some intrinsic sentimental value over to his current country of residence

'smuggling' things out of the country is not too difficult. some of the major commodity exporters does this on a regular basis. local flora and fauna is in the top of the list. a certain birds nest (unfortunately can't remember the name of hte bird) fetch insane money i heard.

I didnt know that Sri Lankans migrate to japan for good,work yes but to migrate there....its anyway a very expensive country to live in isnt it

Sri Lankans marrying Japanese and subsequently residing there permanently is certainly not unheard of - plenty around there
