Damn what a lineup! Is there any TV coverage at all. Peri, got a digi cam mate? I hope someone gets this on video. even a good camera phone would do.

Thats what I use the S2 for. But I need both hands for the Stills, so need an operator if we take vids

If we can't haul a Z up there... how bout a vZr..?

What happen to all the cars out there..? :P

I could, but not sure it has the range. Need 95 oct. And I am not pumping that additive laden shit they pump at the Nuwara Eliya IOC shed.

I think Charith19 isn't a stateside member man :) If I remember right, this was the guy who put those Snow auto-X pics up. Only I've forgotten his AL handle :D

Guys this will be my first time running Mahagastote and I'm looking forward to it. I was about 12 the first time I went to watch Mahagastote and I've been waiting for my chance to run it. I have never done a hillclimb event like this and even though I race an Evo IX regularly, Nishan's car will be completely different to mine in terms of the engine tune, suspension setup, tires, anti-lag, etc. Not to mention mine is left-hand drive. So while I'm trying not to hit rocks, tea bushes, culverts, avoid the potato plantation, and a para-balla running across the road, I'll also have to make sure I don't open the door thinking the gear shift is on the right side. I just hope I can get familiarized with the car before I pull up to the start line!

Great to see such a big field in the class and the hillclimbs getting more attention. Hopefully the road surface hasn't gotten worse since I last saw it and it'll be a nice dry weekend of good old racing!

Ford escort mexico

doesn't that car and its owner Mr.Ananda De Alwis hold some kinda record for the car which has been continuously raced by a single owner at a particular event or something along those lines?

there are number of people trying to convince me that i should and that it would be the drive of life time and not one i'll likely forget if i take the Z...but i just don't know how realistic that idea is..

thanks so much for the offer though machan , but which ever way 9th is a tad too early for moi - can't miss Good Friday service... :(

the fact that its Easter Sunday is another issue...

Well, it's easter for me too... I hear that the easter bunnies in N'eliya are better than the ones you find in Colombo.. also, we could dig up some easter eggs..!

Yes, he and his car have run for 46 years consecutively - meaning they did not miss a single race in all those years!!!!!.

Teaches us the meaning of the word dedication and humility, in my humble opinion.Such a nice person and always available to help others.

He has also been recognised bt the Ford Mo Co.

CMSC has also felicitated him and will do so again at this 75 year bash.

14. Sanjay Dissanayake - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS

The addition of PJ is a very exciting one because he is one of the better drivers in Sri Lanka and a Fox Hill specialist who is hunting his first SuperFox title. As one of the competitors pointed out, this is the largest field of pure GT cars (no Starlet Turbos and no Civics) ever to enter a race in Sri Lanka. Recession? What recession? :)
