Toyota Vitz Gear Changin Issue

Hi Guys,

I have been driving a Toyota Vitz (2001) Auto for few months now. I recently encountered a gear shifting issue. The car screams out from 2nd gear but does not seem to shift to 3rd if my hearing sensors are correct:) Anyone know what the cause of the problem is. I think the gear oil is also changed recently.

First of all im not a expert on this BUT, Does it have any small delay in reversing. Have you taw a vehicle using your car?

No there is no delay at all, No no tawing either.

If you had a RPM meter, you could have instantly noticed the difference as more high d gears more low d RPM level is..

but if it does not change from 2nd to 3rd that needs to checked and corrected without delay.

vitz cms with ECT transmission gear box..it means electronic controll transmission.

so ur problem will be in a ect side.chk in ur gear box shift no 2 solnoid...and the ecu wire harness.
