Now that we are in a thread relating to BMWs and Engines, I heard that if you can put a M50 Intake manifold on to M52B25 head in a 323I you end up with the car belting out more than the 170BHP that the 323I is restricted to. (due to some German Tax law)

Is that true? Some say up to 240BHP is possible and with some tweaking up to 300bhp is possible.

I have a 323I and comparatively, my Primera P11 is quicker than the BMW despite the former having 20BHP more. (but then Lighter Vs Heavier, Auto Vs Manual)

Can it be done? If so, how and and where to source the manifold?
