hi,

i want to buy a eg8.i really dont know much about honda so i would like to have some help from u guys :)

if someone is a eg8 user,i would like to talk with him on the phone coz i have some questions which i need answers quickly..

and can anyone tell me after how many km's do we have to change the timing belt ?

and how much is it ?

a sigle carb would cost you 08-900k,

and a vtec for 1000k..depends on the condition..

MACHAAN WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BEETWEEN A VTEC AND a VTEC-E???

i know that vtec-e is good in fuel and low in performance comparing to the vtec,,anything else??correct me if im wrong.... is it actually worth buying one for 1000k??

Why does everyone look for EGs? xD

Vtec-E engines are biased towards fuel economy, I guess it ain't worth 1miln.

welll,,i must tell you theres alota reasons...some of my personal points

1) the eg8's are one the best looking 92-95 model cars iv ever come accross in SL,,even the STOCK non modded ones...look at the nissans and toyota's and compare the look..damn..arent they pretty

2)japanese

3)they perform well comparing to other 92's(not all)

what more do you guys need eh??

yes the vtec efi is definately worth the extra cost...on personal expierience the carb crx i had felt like a bullock cart compared

to the delsol's vtec...though addmitedly the the first gen crx was more fun to drive :)

so are you going to modify the eg8 after you buy one?...make sure you go for the performance bodykit,aerodynamic graphics,teriyaki pkp1 exhaust,pee-ka-boo boost guage,blow hole valve optimizers and finally a URANUS upgraded Ecu poker device...and make sure you run at 75% uareine fuel mixture.... then it should get the optimum 450bhp at the ko-dyno...good luck

Vtec-E is more aimed at fuel economy.only one intake valve is allowed a to open a lil bit at a time so that it provide more fuel economy at lower RPMs.

90k or 100k kms mchn

it would cost around 15k(not sure about the price)

It is freely available originals as well as duplicates.

If only originals are available, why would you worry.... unless u want to stuff your car with cheap duplicate stuff.. :rolleyes: Note that duplicates are ok for body parts and cosmetic mods. But for mechanical, try to use only the genuine parts.

lol.. actually since i was schooling,i wanted a EG8.i want to a astina coz i couldnt afford a eg8 at that time.. but situation has changed!! :D

Wow another guys who wants to own a EG8 nice :). Well i do agree that the VTEC has more power and is fuel efficient. I own a dual carb and it goes hand in hand with the VTEC. Some of you might have seen it. It's the Yellow and black EG8 MX with a VONMEK sticker on both sides. Anyway good machan cz its a car that you sould have. you'll never get rid of it sinceyou can do many things with it.

One of my friend also had a wonderful dual carb..Some of you might know the Nimantha's black MX. Easily beat even an ES series vtec some time ago.
