fuzzo
so is the skyline dead then?
Pericles
There is the current G35-V35 range. Dunno when they will stop producing that. They might stop in 2008 when the GT-R comes out, or they might not. The GT-R is separating from the Skyline nameplate. Remains to be seen if the Skyline nameplate will actually retire, or continue as a separate line. Would make sense to keep it for Nissan, right now. G35 Coupes and Sedans are what is keeping Infiniti profitable in the US. Of course, if some of the other models start doing well, then it means they can retire this. They can't do sedans with the GT-R, no compromise sports car, this

Anybody watched "An inconvenient truth"? Great documentary about this whole deal. But damn, yeah the Nur does look like fun with all that snow around..I miss being able to slide around and have all kinds of fun in parking lots without any serious tire or body damage! KLM
This is going to be great! From www.grandprix.com........... MARCH 16, 2007 Heidfeld to run BMW at the old Ring Nick Heidfeld is going to run a BMW F1.07 around the old Nurburgring next month. The 14-mile track has not been used for Formula 1 since Niki Lauda's accident in 1976. A shortened version of the track is used for the European Grand Prix but the Nordschleife has long been considered way too dangerous for modern F1. It will be interesting to see how Heidfeld will deal with some of the more dramatic sections of track, including the banked Karrussel corner and the two famous jumps at Pflanzgarten and into Schwalbenschwanz. The Formula 1 lap record stands to the late Clay Regazzoni, who lapped the track in 1975 in 7m5secs. The track layouts have varied slightly since then but the outright record stands to Stefan Bellof who set the fastest lap in the 1983 Nurburgring 1000km at 6m25.91s. His pole pole position for the event was a startling 6m11.13s in a Porsche 956 sports car.

Quick Nick the Bearded Wonder has supposedly unofficially broken the lap record at the Nordschleife. Despite running very hard tires, maximum ground clearance and a short-ratio 'box that couldn't take advantage of the long straights, Heidfeld was timed at 5:58! However BMW Motorsport themselves are denying they went for the record and released a fast time of only 8:34. Great stuff, what? http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?se...article_id=5293 Edited May 22, 2007 by KLM
