I hope to buy a new car...!!! My budget is around 2.5M to 3.0M. I have few options. The following are those options and marcket prices i heard.

1) Unregistered toyota Belta (2.9M tp 3.1M)

2) Used toyota Vios about 40000km (2.5M)

3) Used toyota 121 higher mileage than 100000km (2.5M to 3.0M)

please tell me are these prices are fair according to reduced duty chargers??? what is the best option according to my budget, performance and 2nd hand market ?

If these prices are not fair tell me the reasonable prices..

Hi,

I think you can get the Belta from 2.8 to 3.1 odd. if u go for 2003/2004 Vios, they are actually lil less than 2.5, could be hitting 2.3 range. 121 goes for 2.5-3.0 . Tell you the truth, I too have the same choice, and planning to buy one soon.

Vios is my last choice. It doesn't have good leg-space... My first choice is so far Belta - given it's stylish and new

is this for 1000cc model / 1300cc model? from what i heard 1000cc is going for this price and 1300cc is around 2.7. additionally they say 1000cc is not good at fuel.

And all these prices are for the X grade.

If you go for the G grade which is difficult to find it will be high in price.

And on top of that if it comes with Alloy wheels, Navigation / DVD / TV / Smart key and Multifunction it will add couple of lakhs more.

Cheers,

If i had 2.5mil in my hand... actually my first choice would be a Toyota Vios... It's has very good looks, cheep parts + you get a one with a very low mileage with 1.5 engine... Toyota 121 will be my second choice as for less than 2.6mil I could only buy a pretty old one probably with some defects But mind you 121 is has a very good 2nd hand value. And Belta would be the last. Belta comes with 1300cc engine and I think this will cause it to have a low second hand market value.... What do you think guys?

I had the same issue.after looking so many cars, i bought a 122 luxel.comfortable,great pickup,more options,economical,solid etc.

vios -build quality is not good, stiff suspension, less options, not comfortable, leather sheets but dont know about the fuel consumption(i heard all Japanese cars(jdm) does well on fuel than Singapore cars)

belta-go for a belta coz it's jdm(if 1.3 engine not an issue)for me it's bit underpowered

i prefer honda es1(jdm).but coudnt find a good one.nice vehicle to drive(great handling and pickup, economical, solid)

hey dont believe what others say.drive and see.you will feel the different.

Yup... it looks far better than a Belta or a 121... :P

Looks matters. But not the priority....

:Prices:

1000 cc Belta - 2007 Unregistered 2.5 M - 2.9 M

1500 cc Vios - 2003 2.3 M

:Fuel Econ:

Belta: 11 km/L

Vios: 9-10 km/L

:Power:

Vios will be more powerful.

:Space:

Both compact n just enough space.

Conclusion:

Try for a Vios of year 2005 for 25

Yes indeed, the vios looks great and the VVTi engine should give you good fuel consumption as well, I doubt that the vios would be more comfy than a 121. Build quality of a vios can't be better than a 121 or a belta by any means

And the vios has its speedo in the wrong place  looks so damn odd having the thing set up in the middle of your dashboard.

Belta - new, looks awful, has a low engine capacity but is said to deliver that low end torque which will get you moving in no time

Vios - not entirely "japanese", better looking, leather interior

Corolla - looks good enough, comfy, very common on roads so no hassle with spare parts and stuff, may have better fuel figures than the vios for some reason.

Can you elaborate a bit about the poor build quality of the Vios? Is it cheap/weak body panels/chassis/engine/electrical parts/accessories, cheap interior, or not meeting safety standards?

1.Do anyone know the difference between the Belta NCP96 and SCP92?

(Heard that the NCP96 is full 4wd is that the only difference?)

2.Have seen different range of grades with Belta such as FA X,FA X S Package,FAT G,FAT X,FA X L Package. Anyone has idea of what are the differences of these?

3.Which one do you think that has good second hand market value out of VIOS , Belta , Vitz,Honda Fit Aria,Honda City ?
