10km/l??isnt this enough been an auto?i know corolla owners expect more from the car but AFAIK your car does very good.

but if you really want to give it a try go for a tune up and see,

iv herd that replacing platinum/iridium spark plugs would help too

Its 10 km/l now.

Hi dilruk83

if this is on short distance this amount is ok since it is auto you can't expect more than this,

but careful driving (soft right foot) will always gain you in fuel,

In short clean air filter, fuel filter, good spark plugs, ignition coil and correct tune up will give you benefit on fuel consumption :)

thanks

In addition, you can plan your routes accordingly, shed excess weight from your car, refrain from harsh braking, and try to cruise in high gears as long as possible. The latter works wonders for me.

OR, you can try walking. :mosking:

Worried about the fuel consumption of your car? Then take a bus, use someone else's car, walk, ride a bike, buy a horse, buy a bullock cart... there are so many way to do things, which are far easier and cheaper than trying squeeze out a few more KMs out of a liter of petrol.

If you are worried about the fuel consumption in your car, DON'T BUY A CAR!!!

Its like getting a dog and complaining later that the dog craps every where. Of course it will crap everywhere, its a DOG!!

Same with a car that runs on petrol, IT WILL BURN PETROL!!!

If this still fails to convince you, try fixing all those Nano Fuel savers, pour in the magic juice, drive late at night, buy a hybrid, keep the AC off, lose the extra weight, throw away your spare wheel, extra seats, windows, dashboard, LIGHTEN UP THE LOAD... :)

Then you just night get 11kmpl... :)

Good luck!
