kotte mafia
hey guys would like to share the images of a new project we have been working on for some time which has consumed much of our free time and where we are learning as we go. Lucky we got a lot of spare parts for free. How to crossbreed 2 Super cars into one .. ( Supra + Skyline ) The conversation was nicely done and the new 2JZ-GTE-16 engine replaced the Old RB26DETT 16 engine lack of proper technical staff & money pushed us to convert into a 2J which as the garage dood say tolerant to abuse but personally i preferred the good Old RB series. Had to replace the tranny and go the whole 9 yards to make this Bonding to work & now we need to flush the Engine and clean up the Radiator and put a 4Core new radiator or repair the old one with a Additional High pressure Fuel Pump and replace all the plugs before she tear the streets again. With alot of electronic problems to solve it's like a huge puzzle which needs to put back to gather it ran fine from the workshop to the road where we went for a short spin until we wanted to refit the stereo and took it to a road side dood where he has tampered with all the electronics. Now only the main signals are coming properly but I feel the engine gets flooded when you kick start it. can't even see the RPM Levels still (no where to connect the GTR's Meters to the Toyota engine need to buy more stuff) so really can't figure out by ourselves whats wrong and the speedo is out of Order No Boost controllers working and we had to sadly give away the goodies Nissan put in for the GTR like the G meter and All wheel Drive and Yes now its a Rear wheel Drive Driftoooo … with a 3.0 Ltr engine so cannot figure out what's wrong guess the sensors needs some tweaking, the oil Temp Sensor is out of Order and the rest of the gauges are as you can see sticked with silicone to the Dash till we find the bracket's to fit them need to fit a roll cage and repair the Silencer and the piping It sucks big time when you cannot find proper technical ppl to do such a conversion believe it or not a Bangladeshi Auto Engineer did the conversion. And now we are in the mission to find a proper tuner to tune this baby back to its old golden days. Will keep you posted on the progress as it happens Expect some professional Opinion on this matter and some Classes on HINDI so we can explain it to the mechanic Edited December 21, 2010 by kotte mafia

kotte mafia
yes ppl you guys are right it was a RHD and it was converted to an LHD and then later registered before the rule came with a bann on registering conversions. so its a unique piece and a very sort after one over here in Oman cos over here the GTR never come and there was a self bann from the agent on importing it true you can register it in dubai or anywhere else and run it over here but GTRs with Omani plates are rare & .. most of them came through as gray imports through Dubai and now with the bann placed on registering conversions these few GTR's running are in a unique club .. Except for the NEw GTR 35 which has been officially launched by Nissan motors middle east i guess it has a LHD version coming standard because i saw few running around with proper plates due to the agents mistakes theres no one qualified in the country who can work a RB engine even the agent recently lifting the self imposed Bann on the GODZILA they even lack the proper maintenance crew to do it so if you have a RB engine ur Royally Screwed so ppl change it to something else to make life easy the best choice is the 2J series we are planning to rebuild the GTR as a drift car now with most of the parts with us in hand. A Nissan Silvia is on its way from the yard which needs to done as a drift car i'll let you know on it when it his the garage ... let's see how good is this mechanic is on doing such demanding work.
