bleed the radiator, if that doesn't work your thermostat is prolly stuck open. You may need to replace it.

bit confused... if the thermostat is stuck open, it should take longer to reach ideal operating temperature, but it still should reach it if the engine runs long enough (e.g. 10 mins) ?

Unless the thermostat valve has been removed all together by some maka baas.

Oh I forgot about our maka baases for a minute. Well I guess the first thing he would have to do is check if he has a thermostat......then bleed and change.

You guys are right, maka bass removed thermostat and now I have to run twice much fuel. Do you guys have any idea where I can buy thermostat for 1G-Fe engine (Mark II 1999 / GX-100) coz agent set me in waiting list for month and half for import that part. Its realy annoying using domestic vehicles.

Hi Malaka

Actually Speaking You don't need exact thermostat that is dedicated for Exactly to your car

you may go for a general thermostat that is having correct wight of your existing and correct temperature, best thing get the old thermostat and go to panchikawatha :)

thanks

try places likes pioneer motors in panchi and failing that...it's the breaker joints in wijerama, delkanda area

I once picked up an ECT sensor for 500 bucks from the breakers when the agent wanted 8grand for a brand new one :) worked like a charm until i flogged the car off...
